H. Carter & Sons was established in 1912 and was based in Budleigh Salterton. Due to family retirement and bereavement Carter Training (Services) Ltd was formed and is located in East Budleigh, near Exeter in the South West of England. |

To this day it remains a family business. The firm is
successful in Building & Development, both Domestic and Civil with
an established history of previous contracts. Involvement in Civil contracts
has also led the firm in to another facet of its business, that of Construction
Plant Hire and Training which has proved most successful over recent years
and has been complementary to the Building and Civil division of the firm.

The Carter Group also develop new build projects and developments
in the locale and are about to embark on several construction projects in
the coming year. They also have a substantial range of Leasehold properties
which are let to long standing tenants. |

By way of further diversification the firm have recently
purchased a Volvo Tractor unit, F12 with a York 35 tonnes
Step Frame Trailer, with a load carrying capacity of over to 20 tonnes.

The Carter Group have been members of the Construction
Plant Association and the Building Employers Confederation for over twenty
years. More recently the Training division has become an approved City &
Guilds centre for the provision of Construction Plant training and assessment and are currently embarking on becoming an Approved Assessment Centre for NVQ's in Construction and Civil Engineering.
We have also implemented and maintain a Quality Management system within
our Company, which we were awarded in 1998 with the assessment and successful
registration for the ISO 9002 requirements. |

The firm carries Public Liability Insurance of £5m and has
Employers Liability Insurance of £5m. |
