| The CITB initially approached the firm as a long standing Plant Hire business to become involved in the set up of the new CTA scheme, the Certificate of Training Achievement that it was about to launch. | |||
| Mr R. N. Carter became one of the earliest accredited Instructors after attending intensive courses held at the CITB headquarters at Bircham Newton. Subsequently the Training division was established and this enabled the partnership to complement the Plant Hire and Building divisions with a business that allied itself with the existing customers that it already had. | |||
| Carter Training is an approved training provider for the CITB / City & Guilds ICC scheme. We are also providers of the City & Guilds 6156 NRSWA (New Roads & Streetworks Assessment) as well as City & Guilds 319 PUD (Public Utilities Distribution) NVQ, along with the CITB – Certificate of Training Achievement. | |||
| We have implemented and maintain a Quality Management System within our Company, which we were awarded in January 1998 with the assessment and successful registration for the ISO 9002 requirements. We are also currently registered for the above schemes as an approved centre for the provision of NVQ`s. | |||

We specialise in Health & Safety issues such as Policies, Risk Assessments, Safe Working Procedures as well as full training covering 40+ of the CITB – City & Guilds Plant categories. Other alternative courses cover NRSWA – New Roads & Streetworks assessments and PUD – Public Utilities Distribution. |

| Currently we have two full time Assessor / Instructors who cover most of the 46 categories of Construction Plant that the CITB include in their scheme. | |||
