Transporting and lifting green technology - case study

Last month Carter Plant Hire went to Plymouth to collect and transport a reconditioned commercial generator set to Nomandsland in mid-Devon for Hopes Generation Ltd.

As this was a two-day contract the generator was collected from Plymouth on day one, stored overnight at our base in East Devon, then taken to its new site the following day. The old generator was removed from its plinth, so that the new one could be lifted into place and connected.

None of the individual steps were difficult, but the whole process required coordination with two contractors and the purchaser. No problems were encountered and the client was very pleased with the end result - a testament to Carter's experienced team.
