WW2 bomb safely removed - case study

In the early hours of Friday 16th January, Carter Plant Hire supported Royal Navy bomb disposal specialists in the safe removal of a 250kg German WWII bomb from the Mannin dredger at Exmouth Marina in Devon.
Following its removal, the device was transported and safely detonated offshore near Ladram Bay. The operation was completed successfully thanks to the coordinated efforts of all agencies involved:
HM Naval Base Devonport, Devon & Cornwall Police, RNLI Exmouth, Devon County Council, East Devon District Council
