Exmouth Crazy Pirate Golf - case study

Last month Carter Plant Hire was on Exmouth seafront lifting a unit containing the equipment for the Crazy Pirate Golf into place. It was transported to site on an extended artic truck then put in place using one of our larger cranes.

This area of Exmouth seafront is currently being developed but it has a long history of providing entertainment for locals and visitors alike. The building that was most recently an amusement arcade was, at one point, a small zoo originally opened in 1957 as a branch of Paignton Zoological & Botanical Gardens, but subsequently purchased and privately run by Kenneth Smith from 1962 until it closed in 1980. Next to this was an old railway carriage repurposed as a cafe, a boating lake, playpark, trampoline area, jungle fun and, of course, the crazy golf.

Most of these attractions are long gone due to the seafront redevelopment but new facilities have taken their place and the Ocean bowling alley, Exmouth Cricket Club and Exmouth Lawn Tennis Club as well as Exmouth's beautiful beach are all close by, making it a great place to entertain the family.

Carter Plant Hire is happy to give a free, no obligation quote for crane hire in the southwest. We have several cranes of different sizes suitable for a wide range of lifts. Please feel free to contact us or telephone 01395 446446.
